As part of the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Discover the commemorations of the Normandy Landings through the eyes of Ouistreham photographer Jean-Pierre Faride. For over three decades, this professional photographer, well known in Ouistreham Riva-Bella, followed the veterans during the official ceremonies on June 6. A close friend of the French commandos of the 1er BFMC, and in particular Léon Gautier, he now holds a unique collection of their portraits. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Jean-Pierre Faride pays tribute to them with some fifty photographs. Moving gazes, smiling faces, dignified postures and tender expressions of affection will be on display, leading from the Ouistreham Riva-Bella aid station no. 1 to the Colleville-Montgomery aid station.
