The treasure hunt begins by taking you back to the time of William the Conqueror. At the heart of his duchy, we tell you everything you need to know to succeed in the challenges that await you: who was this young duke? Why did he set up his capital in Caen? And why, having finally laid the foundations of his power in Normandy, did he decide to leave his duchy and set out to conquer England?
A strategy for conquering England
Working in teams, you will then search for architectural details in the pedestrian zone of Caen city centre. Your discoveries will lead you to a secret envelope that you will have to decode. It contains strategic information provided by the Duke's spies: is he the only one who wants to conquer England? And what are the weak points of his opponents? The teams that manage to come up with a strategy can then take part in the conquest of England through a game of mime!
