Caen accueille la flamme olympique !

On May 30, 2024, the Olympic flame will cross seven territories in the Calvados département. It will arrive by sea at Omaha Beach and end its journey in Calvados at Caen, the culmination of its journey.
The torch relay in Caen will cover some 8 kilometers, passing through the following sites:Maison départementale des sports (opening early 2024) and Stade Prestavoine in Hérouville-Saint-ClairAbbaye aux DamesAvenue du 6 juinChâteau ducalPlace Saint-SauveurHôtel de Ville.
A parade through the streets of Hérouville-Saint-Clair, free cultural, sporting and civic events open to all on the Jean-Marie Louvel esplanade in front of the Hôtel de Ville... the passage of the flame will be an opportunity not only to celebrate sport and the values of Olympism, but also to bring the public together around a rich and varied program.
The celebrations will of course include a solemn and symbolic moment: the lighting of the cauldron by the last torchbearer of the day, welcomed by a 24-strong guard of honor.
