Invited to take up a residency at the Galipette multi-accueil centre in Bretteville-sur-Odon, Justine Eliès and Arthur Heilporn spent 5 weeks creating their Drôle de terrain, a modular landscape designed from a child's point of view. From plan to volume, over the course of the sessions the little ones and the professionals were able to develop this environment in the manner of a construction site.
Designed as a space for exploration, play and motor skills, it takes the form of a foam city made up of blocks, arches, roofs and bridges that the children can assemble, move, deconstruct and rebuild. This evolving system accompanies the different stages of children's motor development.
All the experiments and creations carried out during the residency will be returned to L'Artothèque on Saturday 11 April 2026. Children and parents are welcome to discover this Drôle de terrain, on view during opening hours at L'Artothèque until Saturday 16 May 2026.
