The 4th edition of the Métiers d'Art Inspiration Normandie show will be held on 30 and 31 May at the Abbaye aux Dames in Caen, in the covered cloister and adjoining rooms of this emblematic heritage site.
Over two days, more than 45 arts and crafts professionals will be showcasing their skills in a wide range of fields, including furniture, decoration, fashion and heritage restoration. Visitors will be able to meet passionate craftspeople and discover unique pieces: jewellery, ceramics, furniture, glassware...
There will also be three demonstration areas devoted to metal, clay and glass, where visitors can watch spectacular demonstrations. An orientation area will present the art and craft training courses available in Normandy.
Guided tours of the Abbaye aux Dames, founded by Mathilde of Flanders, wife of William the Conqueror, will also be available.
The event is organised by the Comité Métiers d'Art Normandie, co-sponsored by the CMA and the Normandy Region, with the support of BRED Banque Populaire.
