Ladies and Gentlemen, as part of the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, the Friends of Villa Louis present the official program for the Swing D-Day Festival at Sword Beach from May 18 to June 15.
Join us at Lion-sur-Mer, Hermanville-sur-Mer and Colleville-Montgomery for this 3rd edition of the Festival with:Aircraft: an exceptional exhibition of 3 Spitfires, emblematic aircraft of the Royal Air Force, at Lion-sur-Mer and Colleville Montgomery,Sport: with sporting and memorial swimming challenges, on the eve of the 2024 Olympic Games: Portsmouth-Lion-sur-Mer Channel crossing by British soldiers of the Royal Engineers,Remembrance: photo exhibition of war witnesses, conferences on the D-Day, programming of historical films at the cinema, broadcasting of documentaries and archives of the period,Music and dance: 3 pre-war swing balls with DJ Swing Maniac, and his incredible collection of 78 rpm records,Vintage vehicles: exhibition of military vehicles,Gastronomy: installation of a market of regional products,Chance: great tombola of the shopkeepers and partners.
