To mark the centenary of the birth of Elizabeth II, the city of Caen is devoting an exhibition to the sovereign. Part historical figure, part woman of her time and part global icon, the exhibition explores her exceptional destiny and reveals the links that have united Normandy and the British Crown for nearly a thousand years.
A journey back in time, through photographs, to be discovered from 20 June at Caen Town Hall.
Good to know:
The exhibition is free for residents of Caen and under-18s, and for those eligible for free admission with proof of age (see conditions).
Please leave food, drinks, umbrellas, sharp or blunt objects, pushchairs, bulky bags and suitcases, pets and camera flash at the exhibition entrance. Lockers are available if required.
