Us Media Forum Normandy 2026

This year, tout France USA is organising a brand-new event on French soil: the USA Media Forum in France.
This initiative forms part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, which will highlight more than two centuries of friendship between France and the United States.
Normandy put itself forward to host the first edition of this event and was selected by the teams at Atout France. Its proximity to Paris, its historical ties with the United States and the prospect of ‘Millennium – 2027, European Year of the Normans’ all contributed to this choice.
The event will take place on 24 and 25 September in Caen, the city of William the Conqueror, ideally situated in the heart of Normandy. Bringing together 25 American journalists and content creators, the event will offer an opportunity to discover the region through a pre-tour. It will continue with workshops, conferences, panel discussions and networking sessions promoting France as a destination and its partners.
Up to 25 regional and national partners will have the opportunity to engage directly with the journalists.
At the same time, four to six destinations will showcase their gastronomy, lifestyle, culture, heritage and outdoor experiences through dedicated post-tours.
This format aims to engage strategic media outlets that are difficult to reach through traditional press trips.
It also helps to promote the host region, France as a destination and its partners.

As part of the Destination France plan, the initiative aims to:

Raise awareness of the host region’s offering in the US market
Develop new press contacts and promote the region’s tourism offering
Target exceptional journalists and content creators (luxury, wine tourism, gastronomy, culture, sport, etc.)
Highlight more responsible and sustainable tourism
Promote shoulder seasons and longer stays
Support the improvement in the quality of the tourism offering

With just a few weeks to go until “2027, European Year of the Normans”, Normandy Tourism will seize this opportunity to showcase the Millennium, its programme and its ambitions.
The pre-tour will take in the key sites of medieval history in Normandy.
Networking events, cocktail receptions and dinners are expected to take place at iconic venues in Caen.

Normandy-based partners wishing to take part in this initiative will be given priority. They will also benefit from a 5 per cent discount on the participation fee.
