The 47th National Conference of Urban Planning Agencies will be held in Caen from 7 to 9 October 2026, organised by the FNAU and Aucame, with the theme ‘Beneath the land, living soils’. This event brings together elected representatives, urban planners and researchers to rethink urban planning in the face of the ecological transition.
The 47th Meeting of Urban Planning Agencies in Caen will feature three
key events:
The opening plenary session will take place on Wednesday 7 October at the Caen Conference Centre
from 3.30 pm to 6.45 pm to define the key questions and identify the challenges. It
will be followed by a convivial welcome evening at Le Moho from 7.30 pm.
At the heart of the agencies’ collective work, the day of 8 October will be devoted, from
8.30 am to 5.00 pm, to 13 workshops co-designed with the network’s agencies and the
FNAU team, covering 13 different themes and taking place at various locations
across the region. Following the traditional FNAU Executive Committee meeting, the Gala evening will begin at
the Moho at 7.30 pm.
The closing plenary session will take place on Friday 9 October at the Caen Conference Centre
Caen, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, to draw conclusions from the conference and define
ways forward for the future.
