10am: Tribute to the 177 French members of the Kieffer Commando - Parc des tamaris, beach, 70th anniversary of D-Day stele
Friday 5th June
2.30pm: Ceremony at the Monument aux morts, erected on 22 August 1920, to pay tribute to military victims
3pm: Ceremony at the civilian cemetery to pay tribute to the victims and to the British and French Commandos, where several members of the Kieffer Commando, British soldiers from No. 4 Commando who fell on 6 June 1944, and two British and Canadian airmen are buried.
3.30pm: Ceremony at the "French Commandos" stele, avenue Winston Churchill, in memory of soldiers Marcel Labas, Jean Lemoigne and Lieutenant Augustin Hubert, members of the Kieffer Commando, who fell here on 6 June 1944.
4pm: Ceremony at the "La Rafale" stele, avenue Pasteur, in memory of the heroes of the Commando Kieffer, Paul Rollin, Émile Renault and medical captain Robert Lion, who fell here on 6 June 1944.
4.30pm: Ceremony at the "Operation Gambit" stele at the Gare Maritime, erected in honour of the British submariners who took part in Operation Gambit.
5pm: Ceremony at the Signal Monument. This is one of a series of ten Signal monuments, the model for which was created after the war by Yves-Marie Froidevaux, chief architect of the Monuments Historiques. They are shaped like a ship's smokestack, with inscriptions on the front. The back forms a hollowed-out wave, representing "the momentum of the sea towards the land". This stele was originally on the beach and was moved when the ferry terminal was built. It honours the troops who landed locally.
5.30pm: Ceremony at the "13th/18th Royal Hussars" stele, at the roundabout on the route de St-Aubin d'Arquenay, in honour of the British tank regiments who died in action on 6 June 1944.
Saturday 6th June
By invitation only. It is possible to come around the reserved area.
10am: Official ceremony in honour of the 82nd anniversary of D-Day at the Commando Memorial No. 4, Kieffer stele known as "La Flamme", seafront, boulevard A. Briand.
11am: Tribute to Alexandre Lofi, Esplanade A. Lofi
1.30pm: Traditional ceremony of the École des Fusiliers Marins, on the beach, in front of "La Flamme".
