Narvik in France

Narvik in France: an artistic and historical project worth discovering

As part of the Festival Boréal, come and discover ‘Narvik in France’, an original project conceived by Frode Solli, director of the Vinterfestuka festival, centred on a photographic exhibition by the Norwegian artist Per Heimly, coordinated by Jacques Chauffour, French Consul in Narvik.

As part of this project, photographer Per Heimly travelled to France to explore and photograph places bearing the name Narvik.

Through this exhibition, this artistic project – with its historical and international dimension – highlights the special ties that have linked Narvik to France since the Second World War, and in particular to the town of Villons-les-Buissons.

We look forward to seeing you on 12 November at the town’s multi-purpose hall for the exhibition’s opening, organised as part of the Festival Boréal. It will be an opportunity to enjoy a convivial gathering and discover this wonderful artistic and historical initiative.

If you are unable to attend the opening, the exhibition will then be open to the public at the town library from 13 to 22 November.

Please check the town hall’s website for opening hours.

We look forward to welcoming many of you to this wonderful cultural event!
