What images do we have of the West? The Great West, the Americas, the West, or even our neighbours across the Channel?
The great journeys towards a better world, the gold rush, the myth of the cowboy, architectural modernism and the perfect family are all milestones that shape our images of a certain America, the downfall of which is also an integral part of this narrative. Straddling the line between fantasy and social critique, awareness and protest, an international and regional panel of artists is presented in an exhibition addressing social issues with a perspective that is at times offbeat.
What representations of the West do we have? The Great West, the Americas, the West, or even our neighbours across the Channel?
