Go Trade

The Tourist Office is a partner in a European project

The Caen la Mer-Normandie Convention and Visitors Bureau, in close collaboration with the City of Caen, has been involved since summer 2017 in a European cross-border cooperation project, “Go Trade”.

The 16 project partners are motivated by a desire to revitalise the traditional markets in the North of France and the South of England, both with a view to supporting craftsmen and producers in their commercial practices, and to increase the number of visitors to these places, which are essential to a coherent tourist offer.

This project will take place over a period of 3 years and through the training, communication and events that will be carried out, the aim is to make markets an essential element of the attractiveness of town centres and also a source of economic development.
