“La Zone” Olga Kisseleva | Normandie Impressionniste

Olga Kisseleva's Zone is a feminine response to Tarkovsky's film Stalker, in which outcasts guide men who want to cross, at the risk of their lives, a dangerous forbidden zone with mysterious underlying violence. For Kisseleva, on the contrary, this presence is empathetic, enveloping and the result of interaction with nature. The feeling of danger is the result of man?s inability to welcome it.
La Zone's mission is to accompany the public on an inner journey that extinguishes violence and leads to acceptance. A feminine method, as opposed to warlike approaches.
To convey her message, the artist-researcher and pioneer of digital art uses artificial intelligence and produces her works in milk veil, a new material made from milk waste.
Produced in partnership with the Institut Pasteur and APHP, the works are created in collaboration with Tatiana Drozd, Taisiya Polishchuk, Lola Sergent and Elie Barthès.
