La Parade de la Libération

In the main street of Bretteville l?Orgueilleuse, a former section of the Nationale 13, a key crossroads for the Allies as they advanced through the Normandy countryside, period civilian and military vehicles, bagpipes and percussion instruments, and re-enactments in period costume will be paraded to commemorate the liberation of the village by Canadian troops of the Regina Rifle Regiment.
Current members of the Regina Rifle Regiment will be in the spotlight, marching at the head of the procession to the cheers of the crowds who turn out in force every year.
Once parked around the Victor Lorier Gymnase, visitors will be able to admire the vehicles up close, and enjoy a refreshment bar set up on site.
