The work of Danish painter Troels Wörsel (1950 - 2018) can be likened to the analytic painting movement, which is determined to analyze the foundations and possibilities of painting. Without ever losing sight of this research, Wörsel explores the components of his art, which he compares point by point to cooking: painting, like sauce, for example, darkens, reduces, decomposes, benefits from reduction and the addition of fat. Like a sauce, it can alternately arouse desire and disgust.
