Conference - exhibition "Les femmes du Calvados dans la Résistance 1940 -1944" (Calvados women in the Resistance 1940-1944)
This conference and exhibition was commissioned by the town of Ouistreham from the Association "Mémoires de la Résistance et de la Déportation normandes", as part of the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings in June 2024. The women of Calvados joined the Resistance very early on, just like the men, but often remained in the background, confined to menial positions (secretariat, logistics). It is urgent to give them the light they deserve.
The exhibition will run from June 12 to September 23, 2024.
The conference will take place on June 12 at 5.30pm.
