Seated in a circle, the audience at *Veillée* are invited to prick up their ears, listen and share stories of loss, but above all of connections. Lamps are lit, and herbal teas are handed out. The actresses move from one text to another in a thrilling three-way back-and-forth.
We laugh, we look at one another, we’re together. Often we have ‘eyes a little red, on the verge of happy laughter’, as Vinciane Despret so aptly puts it. This sensitive, offbeat and undeniably playful format celebrates the power of stories.
