On Saturday 4 July 2026, Valhalla in Ifs (near Caen) is organising the Barbeuk Games, a festive day of fun, challenge and sharing.
From 2pm to 6.30pm, young and old (aged 10 and over) can take part in the free Viking Olympics, a series of fun events inspired by the Nordic world. With friends or family, participants will be invited to take on a range of challenges open to all: a throwing event, Viking quiz, miniature drakkar building, rune hunt, beehive duel, arm-wrestling duel and many other activities. Registration for the Olympiad is free but compulsory.
From 7pm, it's time for the Valhalla Barbeuk. Visitors will be able to enjoy a summer barbecue in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, with food, bar and the usual site activities until midnight.
It's an original event for families and friends to discover the Viking world of Valhalla and share a convivial moment at the start of summer.
