Visite guidée de la Biscuiterie Jeannette

The Biscuiterie Jeannette, founded in 1850, is the oldest biscuit factory in Normandy. Since 1930, it has been specialised in producing madeleines, and continues to perpetuate an artisanal know-how and rich history, intimately connected to that of its surrounding region. This factory has stood the test of time, enduring the Second World War before enjoying a boom in the 80s, followed by difficulties that led to its liquidation in 2013. Thanks to the efforts of its employees and a crowdfunding campaign, the Biscuiterie Jeannette reopened its doors in 2015. Today, it offers the finest madeleines, made with local ingredients: PDO Isigny butter, fresh free-range eggs and flour from Manche. Since 2020, it has been expanding its range with a selection of cakes and financiers. All summer long, the Biscuiterie Jeannette invites visitors in for free guided tours (upon reservation), offering the opportunity to take home some of these iconic specialities at factory prices.
