Normandy is the biggest producer of linen fibre in the world. Saint-Vaast Farm, 10 minutes south of Caen, has been producing it for generations. This 2-hour visit will call on your 5 senses and introduce you to the history, cultivation and processing of linen fibres, the textile and its technical applications. The shop offers : clothing, household linen, decorative objects, bags, jewellery, baby items, seeds, etc.
Our + in favor of sustainable development : Flax is an eco-responsible fiber, as it does not require irrigation, using only rainwater. It is a zero-waste plant, all parts of which are valued. Its production is local and sustainable, particularly in Europe, and it is a completely biodegradable material.
