Workshop | Wildlife on the roads: put a stop to collisions!

What if, tomorrow, we put a stop to collisions between vehicles and wildlife? In Normandy, roads pose a major obstacle for many species and are the cause of numerous collisions.
To better prevent these, the Faune Route programme aims to identify the most problematic areas and work with local authorities and infrastructure managers.
During this workshop, we invite you to work together to devise practical awareness-raising and information tools: signs, stickers, communication materials… What message should we convey? What format should we choose? On what medium?
A participatory and creative workshop to gain a better understanding of the issues surrounding collisions with wildlife and to help generate new ideas for making roads safer for animals.
‘Faune route’ is a programme led by the Normandy Agency for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development (ANBDD), the Normandy Mammalogical Group (GMN), the Regional Union of Permanent Centres for Environmental Initiatives (URCPIE) and the Normandy Ornithological Group (GONm). With the support of the Green Fund, the project forms part of an initiative to combat the fragmentation of natural habitats and restore ecological connectivity.
