‘What are we to do with ourselves?’ is the question posed by this new cabaret from the Frappe-Tête Théâtre company. It was born out of the need to tell the story of our times – their loneliness, their crisis of meaning, their sense of powerlessness – without ever losing hope.
Blending street theatre, song and music, this cabaret embodies the company’s DNA: tackling sensitive subjects with a poetic twist, a disarming lightness and great kindness. It is a vital meeting place, an ‘Open Refuge’ in the public space.
The trio on stage exudes a collective and infectious energy. The music acts as the cabaret’s beating heart. It is an urgent invitation to rebuild connections, regain confidence in the spoken word and believe once more in the power of ‘us’.
