Silence! A modern tale of the spoken word – Bretteville en scène

Come and see this play as part of the Bretteville en Scène Festival.

Silence! A modern tale of speech - Élise Esnault
Theatre, alone on stage.
Written and performed by Elise Esnault - Sound design: Rivo Ralison - Outside directors: Nathalie Kent, Charlotte Leroy, Pauline Madeline - Production and distribution: Cie Sacédi
Little Silence doesn't speak and everyone in her little world wonders. So her mother takes her to see a number of specialists who will do anything to get her to talk: a word-wrangler, a speech coach, a fairy... They all come up against Silence's strength, as she grows up and assumes her own voice, reinventing the world in her own way.
This modern, burlesque fable invites us to question the value of silence and speech.
This is the first performance of Elise Esnault's new show, created in residence by the commune of Bretteville-sur-Odon.
