For a family-friendly opening to this 28th edition of the Ribambelle Festival, see "Banawassi la malice" by the Mahoran company Stratagème at the Théâtre du Champ Exquis (Blainville-sur-Orne) on Wednesday 25 February at 10am & 3pm for €3 only (booking required).

You can't catch Banawassi! He has a talent for catching his opponents in their own traps. Greed and malice have no hold on him. He bends down to pick up a grain of rice left on the ground, then stands up again, king of a land of plenty.

A few words about the company...
Stratagème Théâtre was founded 12 years ago by three actors from different backgrounds. With the help of volunteers, they forged a place for cultural sharing through theatrical and artistic practices. The company continues to question human emotions and their different interpretations around the world. The company has been based in Mayotte for over 8 years. It has forged close partnerships with various organisations in the Indian Ocean, mainland France and the Mediterranean.
It operates in a variety of fields, including training for young people and adults, cultural action, creation and distribution. It is currently a member of the Collectif des Arts Confondus de Mayotte.
