To close its 25th Autour de l'orgue summer festival, the Association les Amis de l'orgue de Lion invites you to an exceptional organ recital by Erwan Le Prado from Caen, titular organist at the church of Saint-Etienne in Caen and professor of the organ class at the Caen Conservatoire, a concert performer with a passion for transmission, who is doing us the honour of coming to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the prestigious Marie-Claire Alain, whose pupil he was.
Marie-Claire Alain (1926-2013), the world-famous organist and concert performer nicknamed "the First Lady of the organ" by the Americans, inaugurated the Chéron organ in the church of Saint-Pierre de Lion in 1958.
An intense moment with a musician who put the French organ school on the map throughout Europe and as far afield as Japan.
Free admission.
