Comprising some of the most dynamic musicians of the new generation, No Slide is a group built around the brass instruments invented by Adolphe Sax at the end of the 19th century.
The combination of cornets, flugelhorns and saxhorns gives this sextet a unique sound, where the performers freely explore virtuosity, flexibility and richness of timbre.
Partners since their studies at the Paris Conservatoire, the members of No Slide are now permanent musicians with some of France?s most prestigious ensembles:
orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National d?Île-de-France, Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine and Orchestre de la Musique de l?Air et de l?Espace.
The sextet stands out for its ability to revisit the great symphonic repertoire, pieces for piano or string quartet, tackling all aesthetics with passion and a deep desire to transmit.
In 2025, No Slide will release its first album: Folk.
The program is conceived as a journey through traditional folklore and its characterful melodies (Dvo?ák, Komitas, Sibelius, Piazzolla, Smetana, etc.).
On this occasion, the group will premiere Geoffroy Tamisier's Requiem, originally commissioned by the sextet.
