A head well made and a head well filled, it would be an understatement to say that Jyeuhair possesses both, and knows how to turn them into a strength. A self-taught Franco-Malagasy artist, he writes, sings and raps, composes all his instrumentals, which he meticulously cuts to fit his lyrics, and sometimes directs and edits his own videos, some of which he even models in 3D.
Winner of Les Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges 2020, finalist in Buzz Booster 2018 and then Nouvelle École on Netflix in 2024, where he established himself as the artist most acclaimed by the public, Jyeuhair now has over a million subscribers across all platforms. He followed this up with an EP and several acclaimed singles, including PEACE, JEUNE MALAGASY and QUOIPOURQUOI. November 29, 2024 marked a major milestone in his career with the release of his debut album, MYLNUI.
After a first album marked by a strong electronic influence, conceived in collaboration with producer Chopsoe, Jyeuhair returns to his roots with a new project tinged with more organic, even traditional, sounds. Buoyed by the sunny, melancholy, kompa-influenced first single AH BON, this new album bears witness to an emotional, personal and artistic maturity in the way Jyeuhair represents the world around him and his place in it as an artist.
