“In the here and now” exhibition

Patrick Loughran, originally from Detroit, is exhibiting works at La NOU.GA that demonstrate the breadth of his practice at the crossroads of pottery, ceramics, sculpture and drawing. His sculptures take their cue from the material and the gesture in an improvised movement, following an almost natural, geological or botanical logic, in which forms grow and develop.
Colour, which draws on traditional and folk ceramics, the world of the circus, and the glamour of Paris or New York, plays a central role. The title of the exhibition he is presenting at Logre, *In the Here and Now*, reveals a shift in the artist’s practice, which has recently taken a more contemplative, and indeed more introspective, turn.
