Immersive show – A journey through 1,000 years of Caen’s history

In the Chessboard Room of the Château de Caen, a place of great memory of the epic of the Dukes of Normandy, Kings of England, discover the story of 1,000 years of the city through the spectacular staging of an immersive dive into a world of images weaving the history of Caen from 1025 to 2025.

Opening times

March to June: 11am-5pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, open to the public

2pm-5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

July and August: 11am-5pm daily

Screening time: 20 minutes. Open to the general public, aged 8 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Practical information and online ticket collection. Registration opens 2 months before the date of the activity. Programme and practical details subject to change.
