As part of Pink October, the USOM Diving Club is offering a unique and unforgettable experience, exclusively for women. Discover what it feels like to descend beneath the surface: excitement, wonder, a sense of freedom, tranquillity… No experience or swimming skills are needed to enjoy it to the full!
After a warm welcome from the club’s volunteers, you’ll be given a brief theoretical introduction: what are the different types of diving? What equipment is used? How do you communicate underwater? It’s also a chance to ask any questions you may have!
Next, you’ll be welcomed at the poolside: getting kitted out, meeting the instructors, entering the (heated) water… And off you go for a special underwater experience with your dedicated instructor, in complete safety!
Once you’re out of the water, the volunteers will be waiting for you with hot drinks for a chance to chat and share your thoughts on your experience, diving in general, and also breast cancer.
Diving mask, fins and diving equipment are provided. Don’t forget to bring your swimming costume, a towel and a swimming cap if you have one! A few extra bits you might want to bring for your comfort: a bathrobe and flip-flops. And, of course, your smile.
