T-shirt factory: marine mammals

Learn how to use the FabLab's digital machines by making a T-shirt about the marine mammals found off the coast of Normandy.
Have you always wanted to come to a FabLab to create something with your own hands, but didn't know where to start? This workshop is the perfect opportunity to give yourself a gentle introduction to textile customisation!
Guided by our mediators, you'll learn how to use tools such as vinyl cutting and the heat press to create a visual on a T-shirt you've brought along. Using a selection of images specially prepared for the workshop, you will discover the species of marine mammals found in Normandy. It's an opportunity to explore the issues involved in preserving these animals, the protection measures that have been put in place and tips on how to recognise them when you go for a walk on the beach.
You'll also be able to find out about the associations in Normandy that monitor marine mammal populations and what they're doing! This hands-on workshop will give you a fun, offbeat approach to the subject, while you get to grips with the FabLab's creative tools. You'll go home with a personalised T-shirt that tells a story.
