An evening of music between Caen and the United States

The Chœur et Orchestre Universitaire de Caen and the Norwalk Youth Symphony come together for an exceptional musical evening.

On Monday 22 June 2026 at 8.30pm, the Pierre Daure Amphitheatre at the University of Caen Normandy will be the setting for a musical evening of sharing and discovery.

In the first half, the Caen University Choir and Orchestra will perform under the direction of conductor Camille DOMINIQUE and choir director Marine COLLET. A moment driven by collective energy and the pleasure of bringing the classical repertoire to life.

The second part will feature the Norwalk Youth Symphony, a youth orchestra from Connecticut (USA). Founded in 1956, this ensemble has been training young musicians for nearly 70 years and has performed on prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and Tanglewood.

Conducted by Jonathan Yates, the concert will feature a programme of works by Rossini, Fauré, Ives and Beethoven, combining intensity, emotion and orchestral elegance.

Free admission, booking essential via the registration link. An evening open to all, subject to availability.
