Conference: Esperanto and Esperantime in France, utopia in practice.

Conference: Esperanto and Esperantime in France, utopia in practice.
Lecture by Thomas Creusot, archivist and paleographer, graduate of the École des Chartes, curator at the BNF, organised as part of the national congress of Esperanto in France to be held at Héroouville from 22 to 26 May.
Thomas Creusot will be presenting his book Espéranto et espérantismes en France, l'utopie en pratique (Esperanto and Esperantists in France, Utopia in Practice), recently published by Editions Perrin. The book is based on his dissertation and demonstrates his encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of the Esperanto movement, which he traces in France through the prism of publishing.
Books, national newspapers and local or specialised bulletins tell the story of a utopia and a commitment, our own, which is embodied in a profusion of ways in the movements that have supported them, with their surges, their successes, their upheavals, their doubts, their failures and their dissensions.
The book will be on sale on site, and the lecture will be followed by a book signing.
