Slippery conference: plastics, the great hype | TURFU Festival

Free, registration required. Discover the dark side of the plastic sphere with this dramatised lecture and try to find a way out!

An evening to answer your questions about plastic and understand both the danger and the solutions with Nathalie Gontard, researcher at INRAE and author of Plastique, le grand emballement (Stock). A participatory and theatrical conference in the company of Les Singes Debout, Jade Duviquet, director and actor; Cyril Casmèze, zoomorphic artist and Jean-François Hoël, musician and noise-maker.

Just a few decades after its invention, plastic has become an indispensable material, colonising even the most intimate corners of our lives. Multinationals employ millions of people to continue democratising this material, which nonetheless leaves an irreversible mark by contaminating our environment and our bodies for centuries to come.

Speakers:
Nathalie Gontard (director of research at INRAE), Jade Duviquet (director and actor), Cyril Casmèze (actor, zoomorphic performer), Jean-François Hoël (noise musician) and Jean-Marc Istria (stage manager).

Partners: Nathalie Gontard (Cherbourg)
