Screening of the documentary "Compostez-moi" by Gazelle Gagnaire. Hosted by Coopérative Funéraire Normande.
Launched in 2004 by Swiss sociologist Bernard Crettaz, Cafés Mortels bring citizens together to talk about death in a convivial, everyday setting.
For this 2nd meeting at the Écuries, Amavada and the Coopérative Funéraire Normande are offering a ciné- mortel based on the film Compostez-moi by Gazelle Gagnaire. A documentary about terramation and humusation, alternatives that question our relationship with the body and death, challenge our beliefs and cultural representations, and call for new funeral practices and regulatory changes.
What if tomorrow, once dead, we could reintegrate the living cycle?
This event is part of the 13th edition of the Tous au Compost festival, organized by the Réseau Compost Citoyen.
The Coopérative Funéraire Normande is an independent
born of a collective of citizens eager to offer an alternative in the funeral sector and to rethink our relationship with death and funerals.
