Unlike a documentary, the Gekkasha project proposes to create a common zone where artistic and cultural singularities come together. Here, the emphasis is on slowness, precision and intensity.
Between percussionist Naoto Yamagishi, painter Setsuhi Shiraishi and singer Guylaine Cosseron, a beautiful alchemy takes place through breathing, grain, breath, the rubbing of the bow or the brush, their radical biases, absence of self, redoubled presence and harmonic experimentation.
They question modernity and those primordial acts that push man to return to the essential, and interrogate his relationship with the wild, the element and harmony. They will cultivate the present moment by diverting their instrument, a moving soundscape evoking the slow progression of transformation towards an inventive elsewhere.
