Scaphandre is in the abyss. On the surface, Relais et Assistance are trying to bring him back. Is deepening depression the only way out?
Through encounters with creatures of the abyss and a confrontation with darkness, it is above all the depths of the characters? psyches that are probed in this ocean crossing that is as scientific as it is fantastical.
As seafarers know, the ocean always inexplicably leads us back to melancholy. It's as if darkness lurks beneath even the bluest of waters. So how do we make sense of our being in the world when everything seems so strange? So indifferent? So hostile? Maybe all we have to do is to come together and understand each other in our (bio)diversity, to avoid sinking.
