Bass Drum of Death en concert + première partie

Bass Drum of Death gets back to basics. From the pared-down title of their sixth album, SIX, to the way they write, the band has returned to the raw spirit of their early days, when their first two records were recorded entirely on GarageBand.

While this new album marks a return to their original recording method, it also introduces some notable changes. Rather than working alone on the demos, singer and guitarist John Barrett surrounded himself with the rest of the band? Jim Barrett on guitar and Ian Kirkpatrick on drums? for several sessions in his Nashville home studio, where the songs took shape.

On the production side, Jeremy Ferguson (Cage the Elephant, White Reaper) took charge before hosting the trio for ten snowy days at his Battle Tapes studio to polish the tracks.

The result is a grimy, energetic discharge of their signature sound, nourished by influences ranging from the Stooges to ZZ Top, and sublimated by Ferguson?s technical know-how.

With SIX, Bass Drum of Death sign a true return to their roots, while proving that they still have more than one trick up their sleeve, and a few surprises up their sleeves.
