Takashi, the father, is a kind businessman who fights against the imaginary heroes of his childhood. Shige, the energetic septuagenarian grandmother, is tongue-in-cheek and never misses the opportunity to give her opinion. Naboru, the son in the throes of adolescence, hates to study while Nonoko, the little sister, already has a strong character for her very young age.
