The historic town centre is unveiled during a guided visit leaving from the Tourist Office and rounded off at the last residence of William the Conqueror. From Hermanville-sur-Mer to Lion-sur-Mer, magnificent villas are lined up along the seawall, facing the horizon. Each one features a different style and has its own name, and many of them have a history, an anecdote or specific quality that is of interest if you want more insight into local history.

From Ouistreham to Lion-sur-mer : an original guided tour of our area by bike. We head for the seaside to explore the history of the resorts and the villas of Ouistreham, Hermanville-sur-Mer and Lion-sur-Mer. The visit is also an occasion to learn about the history of the Occupation and the Liberation.
From Ouistreham to Pegasus Bridge : Ouistreham and the surrounding areas can boast a wide range of landscapes. This bike tour is a chance to savour the beauty of the sea front, the port of Ouistreham, the charm of the canal linking Ouistreham to Caen and the rich natural and architectural heritage all around. The tour is an opportunity to explore a range of themes and concludes with a visit to Pegasus Bridge, a landmark in the history of the Liberation.

The lighthouse is 38m high. You need to climb the 171 steps to reach the top and enjoy a breathtaking 360° view over the Pointe du Siège nature reserve, the marina with its 650 mooring rings, the canal linking Caen to the sea, the town centre, the beach and the cross-Channel ferry terminal.
