Nestled in a green setting in the Vallée de la Mue, the first church of Thaon dates from the 6th and 7th centuries. The 11th-12th century Norman Romanesque building was one of the first sites to be listed as a Historical Monument in 1840. Don't miss the period modillons depicting people's faces, the chequerboard decoration and the Romanesque capitals. This is also the starting point for a great country walk in the forest.
