At the heart of Caen Castle, the Jardin des Simples (herb garden) was renovated in 2016. It is inspired by early medieval gardens with the Herbularius (medicinal and aromatic plants, condiments), the Viridarium (fruit trees) and the Hortus (vegetable garden, not featured here). Here you will find over 90 plants with information about their main uses and... all the serenity of a haven of peace.
