A chapel was first built at La Brèche with private funds in 1932 and was known as the Chapelle des Baigneurs. It was damaged during the D-Day landings on 6 June 1944.
Local parishioners decided to build and funded the construction of this new chapel in 1954. This beautiful chapel, with its light, airy architecture and splendid stained-glass windows by Michel PETIT and Robert DEVOUCOUX, was listed as a ‘20th-century heritage site’ in 2004.
Mass is celebrated there every Saturday evening at 6.30 pm in July and August.
