Driven by introspective lyrics that recount the journey of a provincial boy as he sets out to conquer the City of Light, his work is imbued with nostalgia and ambition, budding relationships and those we try in vain to forget.
The artist does not confine himself to rap influences; whilst already navigating its various sub-genres and rhythms, he also explores the realms of chanson, pop and spoken word when the need arises.
Marcel marks the album of his breakthrough. It is the album in which Wallace fully asserts himself, where his artistic identity finally emerges in its definitive form, the result of a decade of exploration, doubt and rebuilding.
