To mark Pink October, a month dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer screening organised by the League Against Cancer, the Town of Ouistreham Riva-Bella, in partnership with the Towns of Colleville-Montgomery, Saint-Aubin d’Arquenay, Hermanville-sur-Mer and Bénouville, is organising a walking and jogging event on Sunday 4 October 2026.
Four routes are available: a 6 km walk, a 10 km walk, a 10 km jog and a 14 km jog. The total amount of donations raised during all the initiatives taking place throughout October and during this event will be donated to the Departmental Committee of the League Against Cancer.
With the support of local organisations in Ouistreham (Amitié Active, Photo Club, Entraide et Solidarité, Secours Libre, Marche et Découverte, Yoga Club, Abhyâsa, Riva Forme Santé, Riva Courir, Happy Dancing Fever) and local partners (Carrefour Market, Casino Barrière Ouistreham, L’Accostage, La Ferme St-Hubert, Ôyat, Fitclub, Piscine Aquabella, L’Orange Bleue, AXA).
On the day of the walk/run, a 10–15-minute warm-up is scheduled for 9.00 am, with the start at 9.30 am at the G. Legoupil hall, Avenue du Général Leclerc, in Ouistreham Riva-Bella. The sports hall will be open from 8.00 am until mid-afternoon.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for €2 each. Results will be announced during the entertainment following the walk/run.
