A passionate geography teacher, Frédéric Ferrer is a witty and erudite speaker. His ‘Cartographies’, brought together under the title *Atlas of the Anthropocene*, are a genre in their own right: one-man shows in which he excels at sharing his well-researched investigations at a breakneck pace. Moving from geographical observations to historical hypotheses, the actor-researcher weaves arguments at breakneck speed around global issues linked to global warming. With this production, which explores Viking civilisations and their discovery of Greenland, controversy is rife regarding the role of humans in the melting of the ice cap. Enriched with satellite images and scientific documents, the result of meetings with specialists, this unconventional performance drifts into delightfully poetic and absurd realms.
