Established in 1960 on the Butte Sainte-Thérèse, then a working-class neighbourhood on the right bank of Caen, the LUX Cinema has, over the years, become an essential cultural venue in the Caen metropolitan area. As well as screening films in its three auditoriums, it works in many ways to promote the art of cinema whilst remaining committed to the values of popular education. Practical information
As places are limited, booking is essential. There will be no ticket office on site on the day of the tour; payment must be made at the time of booking.
Tickets go on sale on 7 October 2026, online and at the tourist information offices in Caen and Ouistreham.
