The Order of the Virgin Mary, or Annonciades, is a monastic order founded in the early 16th century. After spending 40 years at the monastery in Brucourt in the Pays d’Auge, the Annonciade sisters chose to settle on the outskirts of Caen in 2015. The Grentheville community, comprising contemplative and apostolic Annonciades, has living quarters, a chapel open to all and a guesthouse with 25 rooms.

As places are limited, booking is essential. Tickets are not available on the day of the visit; payment must be made at the time of booking.
