“Sorry, boys” show

The final instalment in a trilogy dedicated to female resistance, *Sorry, boys* revisits a famous news story that made headlines in the United States in the year 2000. In the small town of Gloucester, 18 teenage girls under the age of 16 became pregnant at the same time, bound by a shared pact. Italian puppeteer and actress Marta Cuscunà draws inspiration from this true story and combines it with another event that took place in the same place at the same time: a march by hundreds of men to raise awareness of violence against women. She shares the stage with twelve human head trophies, which she brings to life by playing all the roles herself. The result is a theatrical performance as magnetic as it is impressive, revealing an exceptional artist who has won numerous awards.
Presented with Le Sablier – National Puppetry Centre as part of the national PUNCH festival – ‘Marionnettes en pleines formes’, initiated by THEMAA and Latitude Marionnette with the support of the Ministry of Culture and MILLENIUM 2027, the European Year of the Normans in the Normandy Region. With the support of the Onda.
Written and performed by Marta Cuscunà, featuring dialogues about a secret pact between 12 severed heads.
